Longboarding with the Drift HD170

downhill-longboardingSome footage from Playa Ancha, shot by legendary South American skateboarder Jhonny Crash. He uses a Drift HD170 to do some intense follow cam shots, helmet cam’s, and some killer POV with the camera mounted on a pole.

A longboard is a surfing/skateboard variant, similar and related to a surfboard or snowboard with wheels. Most longboards measure 90 to 150 centimetres (35 to 59 in). There are several shapes of longboards, such as pintails, flat-nose riders, drop through decks, drop decks and boards with the same shape of a standard skateboard.

Gaui Quadcopter Crash with Drift HD170 Stealth POV Camera

Hollywood makes it look easy to fly a helicopter.  As you’ll see, the learning curve can be rather steep… and expensive.  After starting with two smaller remote control helicopters, John Rounds was finally ready to fly the Gaui Quadcopter with the Drift HD170 Stealth on board.

He chose the Gaui because it is powerful enough to carry the Drift HD170 Stealth point of view action camera.

The Gaui Quad-Flyer was created based on the design of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), which are typically flown by a Combat Systems Officer in the military.    Operation mode and flight characteristics simulate flying a real helicopter.

The Gaui copter has excellent wind resistance. The efficiency and load of propellers are perfectly optimized, so the wind resistance will be better than general electric aircraft.  It is also highly stable, containing a three axis stabilizing system  that are supposedly optimal for a beginner.

This video attests to the durability of both the Drift HD170 Stealth helmet camera and the Gaui Quadcopter.  Keep watching our blog for more videos with the Gaui Quadcopter.  Who knows.  We may even sell it on MyPOV360 one of these days!

Terrain Park Crew gets busy with the Drift HD170

The Terrain Park crew at Holiday Valley in New York is putting the Drift HD170 through all the tests. In preparation for an upcoming Eastern Snowboard League Series event. On January 15, the resort will host the first stop in the series. The Eastern Snowboard League will feature three events, in which competitors can accumulate points towards the overall standings in three different divisions. MyPOV360.com will be capturing all the action of each event with the Drift HD170, the most modern point-of-view hi-def camera in the winter sports market. Featuring an LCD screen, wireless remote control, and now a longer life spare battery accessory to double the unit’s recording time in colder conditions, the Drift HD170 is the Eastern Snowboarding League’s premium choice for a helmet camera.
